Community and Outreach
The Fitzwilliam Museum works in partnership with organisations across Cambridgeshire, encouraging engagement with the Museum’s collection from as wide an audience as possible. We offer Museum tours and talks as well as offsite visits to hospitals, day centres, community centres and prisons.
Museum Talks and Tours
These last between 30 minutes to 1 hour and can be one-off visits of part of a monthly programme. Sessions can be tailored to meet your requirements.
Outreach Visits
We lead sessions in venues such as hospitals, community centres and prisons which can be multi-sensory, discussion based or include a practical art activity.
Practical Art Sessions
Combine a talk or tour with a practical art session to work with an artist and experiment with a wide range of materials and techniques.
Fitzwilliam in the Community
Look out for us out and about at local events- we can answer your questions and usually have something quick and fun to make.
Recent Projects
We also run a number of outreach projects outside the museum on an annual basis and some one-off projects that lead to small exhibitions.
