This video demonstrates the step-by-step process of dressing a Renaissance knight, which on average took roughly twenty minutes. With the help of his squire, the master is armed from the legs up, starting with greaves (lower-leg defences) and finishing with the helmet and gauntlets (protection for the hands and wrists). Don’t miss the knight’s impressive, colourful crest adorning his armet (a type of closed helmet), as this personalized accessory allowed for recognition on the battlefield.
