The Fitzwilliam Museum offers a variety of activities and resources for families visiting the museum. Many of these activities are free.
Something Different: A pilot study evaluating family outreach activities at the Fitzwilliam Museum
In 2009 we commissioned Dr Eric Jensen, an independent evaluator, to carry out a pilot study examining the social impact of our work with a local Young Parent’s Programme.
We also undertake outreach projects, connecting with families across the city and beyond, including those who might be less likely to visit the museum independently.
Since 2013, we have worked with East Anglia Children’s Hospice (EACH) to provde opportunities for children and families associated with the hospice to enjoy positive experiences together at the museum. This work is supported by Children and the Arts.
