Since 2006 the Learning team have been working with Initial Teacher Training institutions across the region to encourage future teachers to use museums as a learning resource. This work positions museums as long-term partners for the education sector.
Take One ITE Cultural Placement Programme
Since December 2013 we have worked in partnership with the National Gallery and the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education to offer up to 10 primary PGCE students a week-long Cultural Placement. You can read more about this on the UCM blog.

Secondary ITE Programme
We also work with secondary ITE providers to offer their students the opportunity to find our more about teaching and learning outside the classroom and how to lead and plan sessions in museums and galleries.
